Train Drivers Launch Nationwide Strike Over Rail Safety in Spain
The train drivers across Spain are on nationwide strike from Monday. They claimed that the nationwide Rail System has serious safety issues. This strike comes after a train incident occurred in Southern Spain, where 46 people were killed and in another incident a driver was killed and many passengers got injured.
These incidents disrupted the Rail network and raised concerns about the maintenance and repairs.
The Train driver's union says that these problems are rising due to the staff shortage, lack of appropriate repairs and low investment in the Rail system.
However, the Government emphasizes that enough money has been invested in the system and denies any neglect.
